Amidst the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational (MPLI) 2021, Blacklist International’s Instagram account was mass reported by haters which resulted in a temporary suspension of the account. The team’s head coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza expressed that the MPLI 2021 was a fun experience. However, the toxicity of the haters was the one that ruined the experience for him. The team finished as the runner-up for the MPLI 2021 after being defeated by the Indonesian team, ONIC Esports in the grand finals with a 1-3 match score. Blacklist International is now aiming to redeem itself in the upcoming M3 World Championship 2021.

The MPLI 2021 was nothing short of excitement for the fans. The MPL Indonesia (ID) Season 8 champions, ONIC Esports, and the two-time MPL Philippines (PH) Champions, Blacklist International clashed in the grand finals for the championship title. The match ended with the ID team asserting dominance and taking down the PH team.

Through a post-match press conference, Blacklist International shared its insights on the MPLI 2021, and its plans moving forward. BON CHAN shared that he and his team had a lot of fun competing against the Indonesian teams that participated in the event, especially ONIC Esports. However, the coach was put off by the toxicity of the haters.

“(The haters) kept reporting the Blacklist’s (International) IG (Instagram) but it will be retrieved within 24 hours I think” stated BON CHAN. “Don’t report, we’re just playing a game.”

The official Instagram account of Blacklist International received mass reports which resulted in its temporary suspension. At the time of writing this article, the official page is currently inaccessible.

Blacklist International’s veteran mid laner, Mark "Eson" Gerardo echoed BON CHAN’s sentiment saying that haters shouldn’t do something like this.

Blacklist International admits that RRQ Hoshi was way tougher than ONIC Esports

In the post-match conference, the team’s veteran player Dexter "DEX STAR" Alaba believes that RRQ Hoshi was a more challenging team than ONIC Esports. According to both DEX STAR and BON CHAN, they lost because all of their cards were already revealed through earlier match after having competed against a lot of Indonesian teams in the MPLI 2021.

“The truth, I feel that RRQ (Hoshi) is much heavier” stated DEX STAR.

“RRQ is definitely harder. It’s just that we came to the point where all the teams have tried all the different approaches and bans against us” stated BON CHAN. “When it was ONIC Esports’ turn, they managed to break the code.”

The head coach assures fans that they still have a few tricks up their sleeve. The team was simply burnt out as a result of all the consecutive matches played during the MPLI 2021.

“Our discipline was dwindling if you noticed during game two” stated BON CHAN. “But we definitely lost, and we can’t eliminate that.”

Blacklist International still has one more chance to redeem itself in the upcoming major esports event for Mobile Legends, the M3 World Championship. The tournament will feature the top 16 teams from around the world competing for the lion’s share of the $800,000 USD prize pool and the title of world champions.
