Team SouL’s coach Amit “Amit” Dubey recently addressed signing Naman “Neyo” and Rudra “SPower” B on the organization’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team. He explained that only four players could be on a team, and adding more players would create chaos. Although he acknowledged that both Neyo and SPower were good players, he did not have a plan on how to utilize six players on the team. Amit also expressed that signing a Most Valuable Player (MVP) without giving him an opportunity to play would not be beneficial for the player.
Team SouL does not plan to have a six-player roster
For the last few months, Neyo and SPower had been practicing and playing scrims with the players of Team SouL. It was also speculated that these two players would soon join Team SouL. However, SPower joined Blind Esports as a professional BGMI player. On the other hand, there has been no announcement about Neyo’s team.
In a livestream, a viewer asked Amit to sign Neyo and SPower to Team SouL in addition to the four existing players on the team. Responding to this, Amit acknowledged that only four players could be on a team in any match. He further added there are at least 25-30 good players in the country, and if he were to sign them, then what would the existing players on the team, Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, Sohail “Hector” Shaikh, Sahil “Omega” Jakhar, and Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, would do. “They (existing players from Team SouL) will definitely play. So adding those two players (Neyo and Spower) to the team, I don’t have any plan on how I would utilize six players on the team,” he added.
Amit mentioned that all the players used to get opportunities as there were only four players on the team and expressed that adding more players would lead to chaos in the team, which he does not want. “So far, four players used to get proper opportunities, so they were playing properly. I don’t want to cause chaos in the team such that players won’t be able to play comfortably,” he said.
He acknowledged that both Neyo and SPower were good players, and keeping one extra player on the team is a good thing. “It is not like I have a problem having him, but tell me how I would use him,” he added.
He also acknowledged that if he signs a player, who is an MVP, but does not allow the player to play or prove himself, then it would not be a good thing for that player.
There is still no confirmation about Team SouL signing Neyo. However, Hector recently discussed playing with a five-player roster, which hinted that Team SouL might play with a five-player roster.
