Team SouL’s professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh recently spoke about the organization’s BGMI roster after the game’s potential return. He revealed that the team would have a dynamic roster, where playing four players will not be fixed, and will be shuffled based on the situation. He also stated that he might not be the substitute (fifth) player on the team but clarified that it was not his decision to make.
Team SouL might play with a five-player roster after BGMI’s potential return
A rumor of Team iNSANE’s former professional BGMI player Naman “Neyo” joining Team SouL has been circulating in the BGMI community for the last few months. Although there has been no official announcement from the organization or the player, fans believe he will join the team soon as he has been seen playing the game with Team SouL’s BGMI players regularly.
On the other hand, Hector recently announced his return to BGMI from New State Mobile after a short and successful stint of two months. His return to the game raised a lot of questions among fans regarding the BGMI roster of the organization. The fans were curious to know who would be the main playing four players, given that Neyo had been playing with the team for the past few months.
In a recent livestream, a viewer asked Hector who would play in Team SouL’s main roster and who would be benched. Responding to this, he stated that there wouldn’t be a fixed playing four roster, and the players would keep switching based on the decision made by the team’s in-game leader (IGL) Sahil “Omega” Jakhar and coach Amit Dubey. “All players will keep switching. It is not like a specific playing four would be set. Omega and Amit Bhai will decide who will play when and where based on the situation,” he said.
Following this, Hector was asked if he would be the substitute member of the team. He denied that and stated that it was not his decision to make. “No, and I will not get to decide whether I will be benched or not. My coach, Amit Bhai, will decide it. He knows better, and he is more experienced. So, please don’t ask me. Whenever he starts a livestream, ask him,” he said.
Although it has been almost seven months since BGMI’s ban, there is still much ambiguity about the game’s return. A lot of teams, including Team SouL, are holding on to the hope that the game might eventually return.
