Team SouL Wins Upthrust Esports BGMI Pro Scrims 3, Spower Crowned MVP
Back to the top!
The presence of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) even after the ban continues to run deep across the mobile gaming community in India with multiple local organizers hosting invitational tournaments online.
Upthrust Esports has been one of the driving forces with its mid-sized tournament series called BGMI Pro Scrims which started in December 2022. Since then three seasons have been conducted. Team Soul walked away as the champion of the recently concluded Upthrust Esports BGMI Pro Scrims 3.
After quite some time, Team SouL put up such a dominating performance. The team scored a total of 358 points, including 118 placement and 240 finish points, a huge difference of 92 points separating it from the runner-up Revenge Esports.
It was the young star fragger, Rudra "SPower" B, who contributed heavily to this insane team performance by SouL, securing a total of 72 finishes and bagging the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award.
Team SouL has been crowned as the champion of Upthrust Esports BGMI Pro Scrims 3
The third season of BGMI Pro Scrims, which started on 23rd February, finally came to an end after eight days earlier today on 2nd March. The series delivered plenty of high-octane action between some of the best teams from across the country.
Team SouL started out strong and claimed the top spot at the end of the first day, not giving up the throne till the very last match of the tournament. SouL looked scary, accumulating a total of 240 finishes, the highest among all the teams competing. To put this in contrast, Hydra Official was the second-highest with 187 finishes, a difference of 53 finishes.
This high-tempo aggression did not hold back SouL from securing the much-needed placement points, just a three-point difference between SouL and Revenge Esports who scored the maximum of 121 placement points.
It was an all out team performance from SouL, each player stepping up and shouldering a part of the responsibility. Everything came together beautifully to help them crush all other teams and stamp their authority on the trophy.
However, one player who managed to stand out from the pack was the BGMI prodigy SPower as he walked away as the MVP of this tournament with a powerful individual performance. He bagged a total of 72 finishes, about 30% of all frags taken by Team SouL, an achievement he will cherish for a long time.
Overall, the tournament was entertaining with Team SouL smashing all other teams to walk away with the trophy. Though no team could catch up to them there was still great competition for other spots on the points table.
It will be interesting to see if TSM claims back the throne in Upthrust Esports BGMI Pro Scrims 4 or will SouL continue its domination.
