Team Soul recently revealed that it has released the majority of its BGMI roster excluding Goblin.

Team Soul is one of the veteran esports organizations in India. It has fielded a roster in the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) title since the launch of the game. The team went through significant roster changes from 2021 to 2023 and on 24th December it revealed that it has released its complete BGMI roster excluding Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal. But later Goblin announced his departure from the team as well.

Team Soul’s BGMI lineup had a good mix of seasoned as well as young and talented players. It was one of the consistent BGMI teams in 2022 and the first half of 2023, but its performance in some of the major LAN events was inconsistent.

Team Soul releases its BGMI roster

Team Soul made an announcement on 24th December 2023 that it has parted ways with its BGMI roster. The organization made a post on Instagram to inform its fans about the roster’s departure and wished the players well in their future endeavors. Team Soul enjoyed a lot of success in 2022 and the first half of 2023 but its performance dipped in some of the major BGMI LAN events like Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 2023 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 where it was unable to qualify for both the events' Grand Finals.

This was Team Soul’s BGMI roster:

  • Akshat “Akshat” Goel.

  • Sahil “Omega” Jakhar.

  • Sohail “Hector” Shaikh.

  • Naman “Neyo”.

The post shared by Team Soul read, “With deep appreciation for Omega, Hector, Neyo, and Akshat, we bid a fond farewell. Your impact has been immeasurable. Wishing you all the success and joy in your future endeavors.”

After the roster's farewell was announced by Team Soul, it was also revealed that the team has retained Goblin and would continue to build a new roster around him. But a few hours later, Goblin shared a message on his personal Instagram broadcast channel and revealed that he was also no longer a part of Team Soul.

The message shared by Goblin read, “I am no longer a part of Team Soul. Thank You for always supporting me. You guys mean a lot to me.”

Team Soul’s best performance was in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1 2022 event where it was able to impress everyone with its consistent and aggressive gameplay and it was crowned the champion. It also represented India at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022 event.

Team Soul also put forth good performances across multiple third party events in 2023 like Skyesports Championship 5.0, Skyesports Champions Series, and Battle For Revolution Season 2 which had massive prize pools.
