The invite-only event which witnessed participation from popular players, livestreamers, and content creators, came to an end earlier today with Team Snax walking away as the champions. A total of six maps were played between 18 teams on 8th and 9th July 2021, with a total prize pool of INR 6,00,000 ($8,042) on the line.

Along with the matches, Krafton had done a fantastic job of providing the audience with some wonderful and entertaining segments with personalities like MortaL, JONATHAN, Dynamo, and more. This kept the viewers entertained throughout, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

First BGMI Tournament - The Launch Party

Day 1

The first day of the event witnessed a huge audience turnout who were excited to see the debut of Team SouL who were participating under the banner of Team MortaL, among other players and teams.

However, the team that ended up dominating on this day was Team Snax who won three chicken dinners in a row to lead the table. In comparison, there were other big teams and names that surprisingly underperformed. But as the event was invite-only most of the teams were playing for fun and were not very competitive.

Day 2

The second day once again started off with Team Snax winning their fourth consecutive chicken dinner and more or less securing their victory. But the streak finally broke as Team Jonathan who were seriously underperforming finally won a game.

The final map was won by Team Maxtern, bringing the BGMI tournament to a close as Team Snax dominated the points table with 120 points, a monstrous 57 points lead when compared to the second-placed team.

Overall the event can be considered a success recording a peak viewership of 547,888 concurrent viewers and an average viewership of more than 200,000 viewers. The next BGMI tournament set to enthrall the Indian mobile gaming audience is Skyesports Streamers Showdown which is scheduled to take place from 10th to 13th July 2021.
