The former Amihan Esports prodigy, Karlll, returns to the Wild Rift esports scene under Team Underground.

After weeks of teasing its fans about its venture into League of Legends: Wild Rift esports, Team Pacquiao GG (TPGG) finally unveiled its team roster. The squad is named Team Underground (UDG) and features the former members of AXS, the team that qualified for the Wild Rift Champions Southeast Asia (WCS) 2022 - Philippines (PH) group stage. Team Underground will be managed by the popular Philippines esports caster, Shin Boo “Sh1nboo” Ponferrada who is also a media talent for Team Pacquiao GG. Team Underground will be taking over the slot left by AXS and will participate in the upcoming WCS 2022- Philippines group stage.

Team Underground unveils Wild Rift roster comprised of former AXS members

The esports organization, Team Pacquiao GG built by the popular Boxing legend, Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao, officially revealed its Wild Rift team roster for the WCS - Philippines 2022.

The roster reveal was made through the official social media handles of Team Pacquiao GG, calling its Wild Rift squad as Team Underground.

The team roster is as follows;

  • Richard "UDG Lara1" Lara - Dragon Lane (Also known as Demon)

  • UDG Sayonara - Jungle Lane

  • UDG Don - Baron Lane

  • Miguel Adrielle "UDG Mitsura" Gavin (Also known as Arutism) - Mid Lane

  • Beaver-Ed "UDG Orthros" Villanueva - Support

  • UDG Cookiez - Substitute

  • Karl “UDG Karlll” Ken Bautista - Substitute

With the exception of Cookiez and Karlll, the main five are former members of AXS, the most dominant team in the WCS - Philippines 2022. The team went undefeated during the qualifiers, making it one of the most interesting teams to look out for in the upcoming group stage.

After being suspended due to a violation regarding age restrictions, Karlll returns to the Wild Rift esports scene under Team Underground. Alongside him are his former teammates from Amihan Esports - Mitsura, Lara1, and Orthros. The only missing member is Jelson “Jelson” Anthony Cuevas Ayon who is currently playing under Nigma Galaxy.

Considering Amihan Esports was once one of Team Secret's biggest rivals before it disbanded in July 2021, the upcoming rematch between the two teams may be something to look forward to in the upcoming WCS - Philippines 2022.
