Sylveon Has Arrived in Pokémon UNITE

The 25th playable Pokemon, Sylveon, has finally arrived in Pokémon UNITE alongside a few cosmetics. The new Fairy-type Pokemon is classified as a Ranged Attacker class and is the first of the widely known Eeveelution series to be released in the mobile MOBA title. Sylveon’s abilities in Pokémon UNITE revolve around dealing long-ranged attacks while also offering a few health regen buffs for added sustainability. However, the new Pokemon starts off as Eevee with a weaker set of abilities but then needs to evolve across the course of the match to unlock its full potential. The new pokemon is currently the most expensive Pokemon to be released in Pokémon UNITE, which to unlock costs 10,000 Aeos Coins or 575 Aeos Gems.

First Eeveelution Pokemon is now available in Pokémon UNITE

As revealed by the official Twitter post back on 2nd Oct 2021, Sylveon has been added to the pool of playable characters in Pokémon UNITE. The new character is unique compared to the other Pokemon as it is part of the widely known Eeveelution series, a term used for all the current group of eight Pokémon that evolve from Eevee.

The new Pokemon can be purchased in the Unite Battle Committee section of the in-game shop. Unlocking Sylveon in Pokemon UNITE will cost 10,000 Aeos Coins or 575 Aeos Gems. That’s around 2,000 Aeon Coins and 100 Aeos Gems more than the usual Pokemon found in the in-game shop. However, the new pokemon is definitely worth the buck as it comes with unique and powerful abilities that can benefit the whole team in a lot of ways.

As Eevee, its abilities are pretty straightforward and easy to maneuver. However, everything gets interesting when Eevee evolves to Sylveon on level 4 where new abilities can be unlocked depending on your playstyle and strategy. Its abilities mainly focus on amplifying its own stats while also having the option to have slight regenerative abilities to increase its survivability in team fights.

The release of Sylveon in Pokemon UNITE also brought a slight visual bug to the game. However, TiMi studios assured fans that they are aware of the issue and a fix is in the works. For now, if you encounter this bug, simply restart your game to remove the bug.

Pokemon trainers can also match their outfits with Sylveon in Pokemon UNITE through the new themed-trainer outfits. The new cosmetics can be found in the Aeos Emporium and Zico Trading section of the in-game shop.

It will be interesting to see if more of the Eeveelution series Pokemon get added to Pokemon UNITE.
