Bren Esports’ star Gold Laner Marco "SUPER MARCO" Requitano earned another accolade as he was crowned the Razer Gold Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Press Corps Player of the Week for the second time. The pro player received his first award during the second week of the league event. On top of his prestigious title, Super Marco shall also receive a new headset courtesy of Razor Gold, one of the leading virtual credit providers for gamers worldwide.

The Razer Gold MPL PH Press Corps Player of the Week award is decided and deliberated upon by print and online media covering the MPL PH beat, as well as the league’s broadcasters and operations team.

Although there were numerous gold laners who shocked the MPL PH Season 11 competition, Super Marco ultimately stole the show in Week 5 by winning the Razer Gold-MPL Philippines Press Corps Player of the Week award.

Super Marco played a crucial role in Bren Esports' remarkable eight-game winning streak during that time.

In team bouts, Super Marco's Claude surprised the reigning M4 World Champion, ECHO PH. Later, in the series' decisive game, his snowball Karrie destroyed the Orcas.

But it didn't end there as he saved his best performance for last. Against Omega Esports, a team slowly rising from the ashes, the star Gold Laner erupted.

Omega Esports was defeated after falling down 1-0 thanks to Super Marco's Beatrix, whose damage output and teamwork with Rowgen "Owgwen" Unigo and Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson stopped Omega Esports, especially during crunch time, which is regarded as the Barangay's peak time.

Finally, his general cunning and clutch plays enabled the team's come-from-behind victory that allowed them to sweep Week 5 leading the way to a league-best 8-1 slate.

“I think it’s just my instinct. Also, I don’t know, I don’t know how I’m doing it, I’m just pressing my joystick,” said Super Marco, who averaged 5.17 kills and 5.33 assists throughout the week.

While he bagged the Player of the Week title for Week 5, his fellow teammates, Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, Owgwen, and KyleTzy were also contenders for the award, with the former finishing third and the latter two serving as honorable mentions. Blacklist International’s Edward “Edward” Jay Dapadap finished second, while ECHO PH’s Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera was also listed among the honorable mentions.

Super Marco, who also won the award in Week 2, is set to receive his second Razer Blackshark V2 of the season courtesy of Razer Gold.
