Shortly after canceling his break following the M3 World Championship, RED Canids’ former team captain Victor "Lunna" Monteiro joined SONS Esports. Lunna will be the team’s new captain in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Brazil (BR) Season 2. SONS Esports is one of the teams that received a direct invite to participate in the regular season alongside DreamMax Esports and RRQ Akira. The three invited teams will be joined by five teams from the qualifiers to compete for the lion’s share of the $30,000 USD prize pool and the championship title in the MPL BR Season 2.

RED Canid’s former team captain was supposed to take a break and skip the MPL BR Season 2. However, due to his dedicated fan’s support, Lunna’s decision to go on a brief hiatus was canceled to compete in the upcoming season.

Aside from the two RED Canids standouts, the team roster is also filled with players from other iconic Brazilian MLBB teams such as DreamMax Esports and Imperial Esports.

The team roster is as follows;

  • Victor "Lunna Om Botak" Monteiro (formerly known as Lunna) - Team Captain

  • Nicolas “Snow Magic”

  • Lucas "Hayato" Ribeiro

  • Lucas “UpaaTzy” Jose (formerly known as Upa)

  • Shuun

  • Neutroo

SnowMagic and Hayato were former members of DreamMax Esports while Neutroo is from Imperial Esports.

Shuun is a newcomer who will debut in the upcoming MPL BR Season 2. The rookie will be proving his skills in the Brazilian MLBB Esports scene alongside the experienced veterans.

Lunna has proven his talent as RED Canids' team captain back in the M3 World Championship and the MPL BR Season 1. While the team was not able to secure a championship title, his leadership and passion for the game attracted a lot of attention, allowing his fanbase to grow. With a new team and new pro players under his guidance, this new journey may prove to be an exciting new challenge for the team captain for the upcoming MPL season.

The upcoming MPL BR Season 2 is scheduled to take place on 11th March with eight teams competing for the championship title and the honor to compete in the MLBB Liga LATAM.

Top two teams from MPL Brazil will join Liga LATAM.
