Skyesports announces SCS 2023 featuring BGMI with Rs. 25,00,000 prize pool.
The tournament will have three stages: qualifiers, semifinals and grand finals, running from June 7 to June 18.
The Top two teams from SCS will receive direct invites to the Skyesports Championship 5.0 LAN, which will be held later this year.

Skyesports, a leading esports organizer in India, has announced that its flagship tournament, the Skyesports Championship Series 2023 (SCS), will feature Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) as the game of choice. The online invite-only event will run from June 9 to June 18, with a whopping prize pool of Rs. 25,00,000 up for grabs. The top two teams from SCS will also secure a spot in the Skyesports Championship 5.0, which will be held offline later this year.

The announcement was made on Skyesports’ social media handles, where they also revealed that there would be qualifiers before the main tournament. Skyesports Founder and CEO Shiva Nandy expressed his excitement about bringing BGMI back to the Indian esports scene after a long gap. He said, “With BGMI becoming available again, we couldn’t be more excited to showcase the talent and passion of the Indian esports community through one of our most iconic IPs, the Skyesports Champions Series. The tournament will serve as a platform for India’s top squads to battle it out in a top-tier competitive environment for the humongous Rs. 25,00,000 prize pool. The return of BGMI to our tournament lineup reaffirms our commitment to providing continuous and exciting events across a plethora of games to our diverse audience.”

Skyesports Championship Series BGMI: All We Know

The tournament will follow a three-stage format, starting with the quarter finals on June 7 and 8, where 19 teams will compete for six spots in the semifinals. The semifinals will take place from June 9 to 13, with 24 teams (six from the quarter finals and 18 invited) vying for the top 16 positions in the grand finals. The grand finals will be held from June 14 to 18, where the best 16 teams will fight for the title of the Skyesports Champions Series - BGMI.

Some of the invited teams include S8UL, Godlike Esports, Revenant Esports, Gods Reign, 7Sea Esports, Marcos Gaming, Team Tamilas, Blind Esports, Reckoning Esports, and more. Skyesports will reveal the complete list of teams on their social media handles soon. The tournament will be live streamed on the Skyesports YouTube channel, with six matches taking place each day from 1 PM IST onwards.
