Skyesports Championship Day 1 has been postponed because of technical difficulties.
The event which was supposed to start on 3rd November will now commence from 4th November.

The Skyesports Championship 5.0 is one the biggest esports tournaments in India. The tournament has various titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Counter Strike 2 (CS2). It also boasts a massive prize pool of INR 2.1 Crores which is divided between the two titles.

Why was Skyesports Championship 5.0 Day 1 Postponed?

Day 1 of Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Grand Finals was supposed to take place on 3rd November. According to the schedule the matches were supposed to start at around 1.30 pm, but were delayed by a couple of hours. After further delays it was revealed that Day 1 was postponed because of technical difficulties and the event will start the next day. 

Skyesports shared some details about the event on X and wrote, “We regret to inform you that the Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Finals Day 1 has been called off due to technical difficulties at the venue. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience as our team works tirelessly to resolve these issues. Rest assured, we are committed to bringing back the best esports action for you, and we'll resume the BGMI action tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO, Skyesports adding to this wrote, “Sorry for the inconvenience caused.” 

Loco was the event's streaming partner and was going to stream the event only for its VIP members. It also made an announcement that the fans who bought the three day VIP subscription, to watch the event, will be compensated.

It shared a message on X and wrote, “We're as disappointed as you are but we've heard you, all our Loco VIPs! To ensure our VIP members are compensated, we will: - Extend VIP memberships till 10th November (valid for all Loco VIP members since 1st Nov) - Gift 30 FREE Diamonds to all VIP members - Keep the VIP Leaderboard active till 8:30pm today, so you could still compete and win cash gifts! We are hopeful Skyesports will resolve the in-venue issues and they will be back tomorrow. Rest assured, we'll always stand with you no matter what, Loco Nation.”

The BGMI Grand Finals which were supposed to start on 3rd November will now commence from 4th November. The changes made in the event’s schedule have not yet been revealed and fans will have to wait for further information.
