Sensei says third party Tournament Organizers need to adopt official match settings guidelines laid down by Krafton.
Sensei has also said that due to the lack of consistency in match settings, teams’ performance has become inconsistent across tournaments.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is one of the most competitive battle royale games. Every aspect of the game such as the size of the safe zone circle, safe zone timings, blue zone damage are important as they significantly affect a team’s performance, especially in the esports scene.

Deepak "Sensei" Negi is the In Game Leader (IGL) for Revenant Esports and he recently raised some concerns regarding match settings for the third party tournaments.

Sensei calls for uniform match settings across third party tournaments

Sensei is regarded as one of the best IGL's in the BGMI scene. His quick decision making and rotation skills have impressed not only fans but also other BGMI athletes.

Recently, Sensei took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the third party tournaments and how they are affecting a teams’ performance and consistency. He said, "I Just want to share my pov regarding one of the major problems in third-party tournaments and consequences followed by them."

"It makes no sense that all other TOs have  different settings of their own, and none of  them follow the guidelines of official zone settings. Players commonly heal battle outside the zone earlier than normal, some teams rotate from outside the zone even in the last stages, and some push you outside the zone. All of this is not possible in official tournaments, and this is one of the major reasons that no team is consistent in tournaments."

"There are many other issues but they should not be my problem so I won't speak about them for now. But I request all TOs to follow the guidelines of official zone settings. Due to this inconsistency in settings, we have very little practice for official tournaments, and solving the issue will help Indian esports to get more competitive and hopefully help us perform better as a nation in global tournaments. Let's not play randomly and try to adapt to the international play style."

According to Sensei, every Tournament Organizer (TOs) has their own match settings which has led to teams playing inconsistently. He also added that if Indian teams want to perform at the international stage the TOs must have a uniform match setting which the official tournament organizer, Krafton, has laid down.

It will be interesting to see if the third party TOs adapt to the official match settings guidelines to maintain consistency and uniformity across events.
