S8UL esports’ pro player, Tanmay “Scout” Singh revealed and explained some of Team S8UL’s strats in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) which the team is practicing for the upcoming Battlegrounds India Series (BGIS) and future tournaments. Team S8UL and Scout are alongside many other organizations and teams which are gearing up for the event. In a recent livestream on Youtube, Scout responded to a comment asking about the teams’ strategies in positioning to which he explained how the new S8UL squad would have a different game plan compared to teams like Orange Rock Esports or even TSM.Entity.

Scout talks about Team S8UL’s new rotation strategy in BGMI

In his recent Youtube livestream, Scout said that Team S8UL was working on a new positioning strategy in BGMI. He explained that there were two types of pro teams. Ones who played for early frags and ones who played for positioning, taking reference from the old S8UL, Orange Rock, and TSM.Entity PUBG Mobile squads.

“There are two types of teams in PUBG and BGMI. A team that goes for frags and a team that goes for positioning. The old S8UL was completely based on positioning, Orange Rock (OR) was based on positioning then kills and TSM.Entity was focused on kills then positioning.”

He also went on to explain that the new S8UL BGMI squad was working on a strategy where they would play for frags in the first three circles and then play for a good end game position to get the wins. He explained how fights are different when facing pro teams in the early game and that is what they are currently practicing.

“Right now what we are thinking to play for frags in the early three zones as much as we can, and then we chill and find better positioning and find frags in the late zones. We cannot lose any player in the early fights. When pro teams face each other, its not about our personal skills, its all about taking the right trades and that is what we are practicing.”

“And thats why there are screw ups right now. But todays screw ups will make results. We’ll grind harder, hustle harder, together and we’ll get the trophy.”

The BGMI esports scene has immediately picked up following the game’s release in July 2021 and Krafton’s immediate announcement of the BGIS which will feature a 1 Crore (USD 134,000) prize pool. Scout and Team S8UL are not the only team and organizations that have mobilized to compete in the upcoming BGIS which is set to begin in August 2021. TSM.FTX, 7Sea Esports, Galaxy Racer (GXR), and many others have announced BGMI lineups that will be competing soon. It will be interesting to see if the new S8UL squad will achieve the amount of success that the team found in PUBG Mobile.
