Indian esports organization, S8UL esports recently announced the addition of Sid Joshi as an esports manager for the organization’s various esports rosters. The move has now been made official on 1st Aug 2021. Sid has previously worked as a manager for the PUBG Mobile squad of TSM.Entity, now known as TSM.FTX. After his signing, Sid went live on Instagram where he shared some insights on his role at S8UL esports, how he joined the organization and addressed his departure from TSM.Entity/TSM India with a short comment.

Who is Sid?

Sid is one of the most experienced managers in Indian esports, having managed multiple rosters in Dota 2, CS:GO, Free Fire, and PUBG Mobile. He joined Entity Gaming in 2016 and after the boom in popularity of PUBG Mobile, Sid managed the org’s PUBG Mobile roster which eventually became the TSM.Entity roster that found success in multiple South Asian tournaments, claiming first-place finish at the PUBG Mobile Club Opens 2019 and the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020. The team, alongside Sid, managed to maintain their elite performance throughout the duration of their time together. He announced in June that he had parted ways with TSM, and shortly after, got in touch with S8UL.

How did Sid sign with S8UL?

Another question that Sid provided insight to, was how he approached the organisation and how the move happened. Sid mentioned that a day after his departure from TSM.Entity he contacted S0UL’s BGMI player, Scout and enquired if Scout was open to working with him. After a positive response, Sid mentioned that his next contact was with 8bit Thug, one of the founders of 8.bit Creatives, which is a half of the merger with Team SouL that is S8UL esports.

“Instantly it was a yes, he (Thug) was like we definitely want you on board.”

Sid said that his entry was welcomed immediately in just a few days and that it had been solidified a month before the official announcement on the first of August, 2021.

“My signing date was 1 August which is why it wasn’t announced. But it was decided a month ago where I was going and what I was going to do.”

Sid’s role at S8UL

One of the first questions he was asked and that he responded to was about his role in S8UL as an esports manager. Sid mentioned that he would be taking care of S8UL’s present and future rosters for every esport that the org has a roster for. He clarified that his job would not be to coach individual players on their skills but to take care of the needs of teams under the S8UL banner.

“I make minor tweaks in their personalities, in the way they practice which brings change to the way they play. My job will be to look after everything esports related.

The plan for the next 3-4 days is to observe how the work ethics here is and how the people work.”

Sid also talked about S8UL’s gaming house and how he would also be staying there over the next few days. He mentioned that he feels that the environment is fresh with S8UL and that he is excited to win some trophies with S8UL esports.

Addressing his departure from TSM.Entity

On the questions of his departure from TSM.Entity, Sid did not have much to say and gave one simple statement.

“I will only say this once. I did not leave. This isn’t Bigg Boss or Splitsvilla where we need to talk about these things. What’s done is done.”

S8UL’s addition of Sid seems to be a step forward for the organization. Both the manager and the team seem to be excited about their upcoming ventures. S8UL esports currently has rosters in BGMI and Free Fire and will no doubt look to make their mark in upcoming tournaments and events.
