The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 opened its playoffs stage with an intense match between the dominant team RSG Philippines (PH) and the renowned Dark Horse of this tournament, Falcon Esports. While the Myanmar team pulled off a comeback victory in game two, the match eventually concluded with the Philippines squad taking game one and three to close the series with a 2-1 victory. Through a post-match press conference, RSG PH’s star Jungler shared his thoughts on how Falcon Esports’ early game presence was quite weak but eventually skyrocketed to a dominant and hard to counter late game prowess.
RSG PH survives Falcon Esports game two comeback victory to secure upper bracket slot
It was a grueling match between the Philippines powerhouse and the Dark Horse team. RSG PH was able to score a 2-1 victory against Falcon Esports and secure itself an upper bracket semi finals seed.
While the Kingslayers were able to secure the first game of the series, the Myanmar squad pulled off a huge upset in game two thanks to its Jhonson and Kadita orchestrated by Pyae "JustiN" Sone Khant and Min "Naomi" Ko Ko respectively.
However, the tide turned in RSG PH’s favor in game three as Falcon Esports could not find an optimal position to open up winnable team fights due to Dylan “Light” Catipon’s Franco delivering accurate hooks that broke the Myanmar team’s formation. Eman "EMANN" Sangco struggled in game two but was able to redeem himself with his dominant Beatrix gameplay with six kills and one death.
RSG PH Demonkite admits Falcon Esports’ late game prowess is quite formidable
Through a post-match press conference, RSG PH’s star Jungler Jonard “Demonkite” Cedrix Caranto shared his observations regarding Falcon Esports’ playstyle. “I personally think that their early game is weak, for me. Because they cannot execute it well,” the jungler player explained.
Despite this, he admits that Falcon Esports’ team comps become a big problem during the late game no matter how ahead their enemy is. “In the late game, they have so much discipline, so much mechanical skill that they can comeback even though you have a big gap in the early game,” Demonkite stated.
RSG PH heads to the upper bracket semi finals while Falcon Esports will have to crawl its way back from the lower brackets. It will be interesting to see if the Myanmar squad will be able to come back stronger after almost delivering an upset against the most dominant team in the MSC 2022.
