Riot Games recently teased players with an upcoming champion soon to be released in League of Legends (LoL): Wild Rift. The teaser revealed the upcoming champion may resemble a winged entity. However, only the black wings were shown and nothing else, leaving many fans curious as to who exactly may this new winged champion be. Based on the image coupled with the caption, that speaks about salvation, fans began speculating that the new champion may be either Kayle or Morgana, as they both resemble angels with wings. Riot Games is yet to reveal more information regarding this teaser. The new champion may be arriving in the upcoming Patch 2.6 update for Wild Rift.
New Wild Rift Champion with wings teased by Riot Games
The Wild Rift patch 2.5 cycle is almost nearing its conclusion. The Riot x Arcane events in Wild Rift will wrap up soon. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the next major patch update which shall bring forth a host of new content for the players to enjoy.
The Wild Rift Patch 2.6 update is expected to arrive on 3rd Dec 2021. It’s only a matter of time until a patch preview will be revealed, giving players a glimpse of what content they can expect in the upcoming patch update.
While waiting for the next major patch update, Riot Games posted a teaser for an upcoming champion in Wild Rift. The teaser was posted on 26th Nov 2021 with a short caption “Fear not. Salvation draws near.”
Fans began speculating that the teaser may be related to the sisters - Kayle and Morgana which are both considered angels. As per their depiction Morgana is considered a fallen angel and Kayle is considered the righteous one. The caption may be referring to Kayle’s dialogue from the PC version of League of Legends. Kayle usually speaks about salvation in some of her voice lines leaving many fans to speculate that she may be the one added to the game soon. Riot Games is yet to confirm this information so this should be taken with a grain of salt.
What we can expect to arrive in the Wild Rift Patch 2.6 update
One of the most reliable data miners in the Wild Rift community, ChowZ, revealed a few content details that he found within the in-game files of the Chinese version of the mobile MOBA title. According to him, the upcoming update will contain the much-awaited Dr. Mundo champion rework, new items, and a few in-game cosmetics.
The two new items coming to Wild Rift were revealed quite a while ago, but Riot Games is yet to confirm the arrival of these items.
It will be interesting to see the new champion make a dramatic entry to the ever-growing cast of characters within Wild Rift.
