Revenant Esports Wins New State Mobile Battle Adda, Rithvii Crowned MVP
First official tournament of the year comes to an end.
The first official tournament of the year for the mobile battle royale, New State Mobile Battle Adda, concluded yesterday on 30th April with Revenant Esports walking away as the champion.
Revenant's lineup showcased commendable teamwork to achieve consistent success through both tournament phases. The team finished second in the group stage with 234.5 points and clinched the trophy by securing 138 points in the grand finals.
Despite its flawless run, it was Rithvii from OR Esports who won the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award for registering total damage of 11,426 which resulted in 66 finishes.
Revenant Esports is the champion of New State Mobile Battle Adda
A total of 32 teams had been handed direct invites to compete in this tournament, fighting for a total prize pool of INR 10,00,000 ($12,158 USD) from 25th to 30th April.
The group stage concluded with the top 16 teams qualifying for the grand finals. Here, OR Esports managed to secure the top spot with a total of 253.5 points, a difference of 19 points separating it from the second-placed Revenant Esports.
However, things changed drastically during the last two days of the tournament as the qualified teams started afresh with a new points table.
Revenant Esports who had finished second during the group stage went on to win the tournament.
Hyderabad Hydras who had finished 13th during the group stage with 117.5 points, finished second with 151 points in the grand finals.
S8UL Esports who finished 14th during the group stage with 117.5 points, finished third with 135 points in the grand finals.
Unfortuantely, OR Esports ran out of steam during the final two days of the tournament and dropped down to the seventh position in the grand finals with 114 points.
The three teams above might have stepped up when push came to shove, shifting gears to deliver their absolute best performance. However, taking a look at the top five players, it was Rithvii from OR Esports whose individual prowess overshadowed the rest.
Rithvii took a total of 66 finishes, 22 of them via headshots, and delivered a total damage of 11,426, standing leagues ahead of the second-placed Harshit "MJ" Mahajan from Revenant Esports.
This was the first official tournament to take place in 2023 by Krafton for New State Mobile in India. It delivered top-notch action with some of the best teams from across the country going head-to-head against each other.
Hopefully, the competitive circuit for this mobile battle royale, which is slowly gaining an audience within the country, grows and more such tournaments crop up for players and teams to showcase their skills.
