In a recent livestream, Team SouL’s Manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi stated that building a winning roster requires a deep understanding of the esports scene.
He acknowledged that he lacked a deep understanding of Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile, and hence, cannot build winning rosters yet.
He expressed his belief that he may better understand these esports titles and could potentially build successful rosters in six to nine months.

Team SouL’s Manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi recently discussed the possibility of building successful rosters for games like Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile, similar to the organization’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster. Sid revealed that creating a winning roster requires a deep understanding of the esports scene and the players involved, and acknowledged that he currently lacks it. However, he expressed his belief that in six to nine months, he may have a better understanding of these esports titles and could potentially build successful rosters.

Sid lacks knowledge at the moment to build winning rosters for Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile

In a recent livestream, one of Sid’s viewers asked him about the possibility of seeing a successful roster in games like Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile, similar to the one the organization features in BGMI. Responding to this, Sid stated that building a winning roster requires a deep understanding of the esports scene and the players of that game, and it took him almost one to one and a half years to understand the BGMI esports scene completely. He acknowledged that he currently lacks the required knowledge of the community and players to create a roster of the same caliber for Pokémon Unite or New State Mobile.

Sid expressed his belief that in six to nine months, he may have a better understanding of the esports scenes for Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile. He added that with this understanding, he could potentially build a successful roster. He stated that when he feels ready to build rosters for these games, he himself will approach the co-owner Animesh “Thug” Agarwal and ask for tryouts with his chosen rosters. “Then we will see where we are at. But right now, I don’t think I have that much knowledge. It almost took one to one and a half years just to accumulate that knowledge in BGMI,” he added.

Building a successful roster can be a challenging task, but it is a crucial aspect to consider from an organization’s perspective. Sid is one of the most experienced esports managers in India, having managed rosters for notable organizations like Entity Gaming and TSM Entity. Notably, Team SouL already features rosters in Pokémon Unite and New State Mobile, which have been regarded as some of the top-performing rosters in their respective games. It will be interesting to see if Team SouL sticks with its current rosters or overhauls them in the future.
