The trend of acquiring Filipino Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) talents continues as the Indonesian team Pendekar Esports signed three talents from the Philippines. The Filipino imports have experience competing at a professional level as they competed in previous seasons of the MLBB Professional League Philippines (MPL PH).

Pendekar Esports is one of the latest contenders in the MLBB Development League Indonesia (MDL ID). The squad will be competing in the upcoming league, set to be held on 7th February. The tournament will feature eight franchise MDL teams and eight non-franchise teams competing for the championship title and the $40,000 USD prize pool.

Pendekar Esports taps into Filipino talents for MDL ID Season 7

Through an Instagram post on 2nd February, Pendekar Esports announced its roster for the upcoming MDL tournament featuring the three Filipino imports Christian "Rafflesia" Fajura, Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico, and Kenneth "Flysolo" Coloma.

Rafflesia is an MPL Hall of Legends inductee and is also a two-time championship title holder. The pro player was one of the pioneers when it came to unorthodox metas such as the Feeding Diggie strategy. 3MarTzy was part of the TNC Pro Team roster that won the Juicy Legends Tournament 2021 Q3. Both players also played under ECHO before joining Pendekar Esports.

Flysolo is a former DOTA 2 pro player that shifted to playing competitive MLBB. The pro player shall serve as the head coach for Pendekar Esports for the upcoming MDL ID Season 7. While Flysolo is yet to shine in the mobile sports scene, joining the Indonesian squad may be his chance to showcase his experience and convert his knowledge from DOTA 2 and apply it to MLBB.

While this is not the first time that foreign teams have acquired Filipino talents in MLBB esports, it will be interesting to see if Pendekar Esports kicks off a massive resurgence in the upcoming MDL ID Season 7.
