PUBG Mobile 1.9 Update: ‘Don’t Turn Into an Anniversary Balloon’ Mode to Go Live

The PUBG Mobile 1.9 update is expected to go live on servers in the next few days. The new patch brings with it Classic Mode improvements. The update will feature mechanical improvements like viewpoint adjustments, playzone countdown reminders, a quick voice wheel and improvements to controls like climbing and underwater firearms pick-up. Krafton also confirmed that a new mode was coming to PUBG Mobile in the 1.9 update called ‘Don’t Turn into an Anniversary Balloon’. The mode will go live on 18th March 2022 in celebration of PUBG Mobile’s 4th anniversary. With the anniversary, players can expect new events and a new BLACKPINK voice pack to be added in the PUBG Mobile 1.9 update.

What to expect in the PUBG Mobile 1.9 Update

While there are no official patch notes available for the game yet, based on the tweets by the official PUBG Mobile Twitter handle, players can expect some quality of life improvements to the game including mechanics, controls, and new map features on Erangel. PUBG Mobile is adding playzone countdown reminders, viewpoint adjustments, and a quick voice wheel. It’s also adding control improvements like underwater firearms pick-up, climbing and firearm swap attachments. The PUBG Mobile 1.9 update will also add a new bridge to Erangel, a recall mechanic to unranked Erangel and item adjustments in the supply shop.

Along with the ‘Don’t Turn into an Anniversary Balloon’ event, players will likely be able to get the BLACKPINK voice pack which features the voice of Lisa. Twitter account BLΛCKPIИK GLOBAL leaked some of the voice lines which will be available in the pack.
