The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021 has been announced by James Yang, the director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports division for Tencent. PMGC 2021 will happen in three stages from 30th November, 2021 and continue till 23rd January, 2022. The massive tournament will be divided into the East and West with 20 teams competing from each region for spots in the grand finals. The Grand Finals will see the top 16 teams from both regions battle it out to be crowned the world champions. PMGC 2021 will feature a massive prize pool of $ 6,000,000 USD, one of the biggest prize pools for a single mobile esports event.
PMGC 2021 Schedule
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 League stages and finals for both East and West will happen simultaneously.
League Stage: 30th Nov to 19th Dec 2021.
League Finals: 22nd Dec to 24th Dec 2021.
PMGC 2021 Grand Finals: 21st Jan to 23rd Jan 2022.
The top 16 teams from the League Stage of PMGC 2021 will make it to the League Finals for both East and West. However, the top 9 teams from East and top 6 teams from West will make it to the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals. There is also one more special invite expected to join the teams here.
PMGC 2021 League Qualification
Teams will have to earn points through the regional events to qualify for the international tournament. A total of 40 teams will be playing from both regions to secure a spot in the Grand Finals.
Due to the Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2021 being cancelled, Tong Jia Bao Esports will receive a direct invite as one of the three representative of China’s Peace Elite Professional League.
