Instagram page of ONIC PH gets mass reported after winning against RRQ Hoshi in the M3 World Championship

The match between ONIC PH and RRQ Hoshi was nothing short of exciting. Both teams delivered a stellar performance but ONIC PH proved themselves to be the dominant team after securing a clean sweep victory score of 3-0 against its opponent.

Shortly after its successful run in the playoffs stage of the M3 World championship, ONIC PH’s Instagram account was unexpectedly taken down due to an alleged mass reporting. This was revealed through its Facebook post, warning the fans about fake accounts claiming to be the new Instagram handles of ONIC PH.

“Any Instagram pages claiming to be our new account is fake. Our one and only Instagram account is @onicphilippines,” captioned ONIC PH.

ONIC PH stated that they have reached out to Instagram to resolve this issue. The esports organization also encourages fans to avoid mass reporting an organization or person’s social media accounts just to spread hate.

“We at ONIC Philippines do not condone this kind of digital attacks aimed at our social media channels. We urge the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community to support us in this plight. Let’s all respect each other as fans of the same game we love to play and watch,” captioned ONIC PH.

ONIC Esports also issued an official statement to support its sister team.

This wasn’t the first time an esports team’s social media handles got taken down due to mass reporting. A similar incident occurred during the MPLI 2021 where Blacklist International’s Instagram page was also taken down due to mass reporting.

Both Blacklist International and RRQ Hoshi issued a statement denoting that they do not support toxic behavior of this sort and fans should respect each team no matter the outcomes in the tournament.

While ONIC PH is now one step closer to the Grand Finals of the M3 World Championship, RRQ Hoshi still has one last chance to redeem itself in the lower bracket.
