The third week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10 started with a huge upset for Blacklist International. ONIC PH rose to the top of the leaderboard after a dominant 2-0 clean sweep victory against the Code Breakers in the opening match series. Through a post-match press conference, it was also revealed that ONIC PH’s Frince "Super Frince" Miguel Ramirez is the team’s most diligent player, often practicing for extra hours than what is required. His determination paid off as the team has now defeated two of the strongest teams - RSG PH and Blacklist International.

ONIC PH takes the number one spot after upsetting Blacklist International

The new face of ONIC PH proved it is more than just a rookie team by taking down Blacklist International in a dominant fashion.

The first game almost went in the Code Breakers’ favor. However, a last minute backdoor by Kenneth “Nets” Barro’s Bruno allowed the team to secure a win at the 17-minute mark. Blacklist International’s Salic "Hadji" Imam and Edward "EDWARD" Jay Dapadap tried to stop him but they were a few seconds too late. Nets was able to throw one last basic attack before being executed which was enough to drop the Nexus’ HP down to zero and close the game.

Netz pulling off the "Banana Split" strategy at the last minute.

The Code Breaker’s drafted the same lineup for game two which did not work in its favor. Despite the sustain offered by the roamer Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna, the team could not survive ONIC PH’s constant aggression and map pressure.

Blacklist International managed to recover it the late game and secure crucial objectives but ONIC PH was able to secure one Lord and maximized its potential at the 20-minute mark to close the series with a clean sweep victory.

ONIC PH is looking to take down its next big target Omega Esports on 27th August at 6:00 PM (PHT). Blacklist International shall go up against ECHO on 28th August at 8:00 PM (PHT).
