Fans speculated that Mico was to join Nexplay EVOS due to the recent YouTube Shorts posted by Akosi Dogie.
ONIC PH previously released its MLBB head coach Yeb.

ONIC Philippines (PH) officially released another one of its veteran players from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) squad. The M3 World Championship runner up announced, through a Facebook post, the release of Karl Mico "Micophobia" Tarala Quitlong (also known as Mico). As ONIC PH continues to release its top performing pro players, fans started questioning the state of the esports organization, with many wondering if it may be disbanding soon. Various cryptic posts have also been shared by its facebook page and by some of its pro players hinting that they may be leaving the team soon. However, ONIC PH is yet to confirm or deny the rumors.

Micophobia leaves ONIC PH, allegedly joining Nexplay EVOS

Through a post on 24th June, ONIC PH bid farewell to its tank specialist Micophobia with the caption “More than just a player, he was also everyone's happy pill.”

The esports organization also thanked the pro player for his contribution to the team. “We'll surely miss your jokes, funny TikToks, and memes! Thank you for putting in extra effort just to keep everyone happy and in good vibes, Mico!” ONIC PH captioned.

Mico commented on the post stating that he wants to focus on his life. “Love you all guys, esports isn’t for me. I’ll focus on my real life for now,” he commented.

Before the esports organization officially announced Mico’s departure, fans speculated that he would join Nexplay EVOS (NXPE) for the upcoming Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) PH Season 10. This was due to a YouTube Shorts video posted by Akosi Dogie where Mico was spotted hanging out with the NXPE squad. However, Nexplay EVOS is yet to confirm the addition of Mico to its MLBB lineup for the upcoming season. There is also the statement made by Mico in his post which says that he will be focusing on his life for the time being on account of esports not being up his alley.

Whether the pro player joins another team or is taking a break from the competitive scene, only time will tell. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
