ONIC PH Releases Coach Yeb From Its MLBB Roster

ONIC Philippines (PH) officially let go of its iconic Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) head coach Paul Denver "Yeb" Miranda. The coach spearheaded the team into securing a runner-up finish back at the M3 World Championship. While ONIC PH failed to dominate the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) PH Season 9, fans looked forward to a stronger and more determined team in the next season. With its pro players hinting at leaving the team and the head coach being released, the team may be brewing something behind the scenes. As for Yeb’s next journey in the MLBB competitive scene, rumors started spreading that he may be moving to the Indonesian sister team ONIC Esports.

MLBB Coach Yeb officially departs from ONIC PH

Through a Facebook announcement posted on 20th June, ONIC PH bid farewell to its MLBB team’s head coach Yeb. According to the post “He is more than a coach. He served as the backbone of our strength, he served as the foundation to the team and he brought out the fire and passion of our players.”

The post also mentioned Yeb’s importance in the growth of ONIC PH’s pro players throughout its journey with the head coach. “More importantly, Coach Yeb has taught us not only to have fun but made us all realize what a real family is. Thank you for teaching us that no matter what happens, we are a family here at ONIC, no matter where we go,” the post captioned.

Fans and various MLBB personalities such as the RSG PH coach Brian “Panda” Lim and the MPL PH caster Joseph Charles "Naisou" Rezabek commented on the post wishing Yeb good luck in his next journey.

Rumors about Yeb joining ONIC Esports surfaced

Before the head coach’s departure from ONIC PH, fans had started spreading rumors that the team’s Indonesian division, ONIC Esports, was looking to acquire Yeb as its own coach. This surfaced after fans noticed that a seemingly mysterious guest that highly resembled coach Yeb was seen during the Mobile Legends Championship Cup (MSC) 2022 backstage sneak peak.

However coach Yeb denied the rumors through the PH broadcast of the regional event. Needless to say, it shall be most interesting to see which team will he will be leading in future MLBB events.
