The rookie-filled squad of ONIC PH is the first team to have secured a playoff spot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The team now has 21 points in total, which is the minimum score required to proceed to the playoffs stage. ONIC PH also achieved an impressive feat during the regular season as it took down the defending champion RSG PH and the M3 World Champion Blacklist International in a dominant fashion. With this feat, ONIC PH has proven how formidable its rookie talents are and that it can keep up with veteran players.

ONIC PH’s amateur-filled squad takes the first playoff slot of MPL PH Season 10

As only two weeks are left for the conclusion of the regular season for the MPL PH Season 10, all the teams are racing to reach the top of the leaderboards and secure their playoff spots. However, the new face of ONIC PH stood amongst the veteran teams and proved that even amateurs can dominate the most experienced players.

At the start of the season, MLBBB esports fans and talents did not give attention to the ”new kids on the block.” However, after dominating seven-match series in the regular season, a lot of fans have acknowledged the new face of ONIC PH.

Throughout the regular season, the rookie-laden squad put forth a solid performance and even took down the defending champion RSG PH through a 2-0 clean sweep victory twice in a row. Adding more to its achievements is its flawless victory against the powerhouse team of the PH MLBB esports scene, Blacklist International.

While the team is now assured a playoff spot, its matches are far from over. ONIC PH will be facing Blacklist International one more time on 23rd September at 5:00 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the rookie-filled team is able to take down the legendary squad for a second time.
