Omega Esports put forth an impressive performance against Blacklist International in the fifth week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Profesional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The Comeback Kings outlasted the Codebreakers after a three-round series to score a 2-1 victory. Omega Esports currently sits in third place on the leaderboard with 15 points. Through a post-match press conference, the team’s head coach Jomie "P4kbet" Abalos explained how the squad was able to overcome their shaky performance in the past few weeks in the MPL PH Season 10. The coach also shared how the losses they had during the regular season made the team realize what they need to work on and improve.

Omega Esports dominated Blacklist International with a 2-1 victory

The M3 World Champions had another huge upset in the MPL PH Season 10 against the renowned Comeback Kings, Omega Esports.

During the first game, both teams fought aggressively. Omega Esports was able to maximize its massive 3k gold at the 9-minute mark with an impressive Blazing Duet triple kill by Grant "Kelra" Duane Pillas’ Claude.

With a well-stacked marksman, Omega Esports went on to close the game but a last-minute defense by Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna’s Faramis and Kiel Calvin "Oheb" Soriano’s Beatrix. This outplay allowed Blacklist International to turn the tides into its favor and close the game with a win.

Learning from its mistakes from game one, Omega Esports took a more cautious route and opted for a heavy crowd control lineup. The team’s roamer specialist Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog delivered impressive Lolita gameplays throughout the two remaining games. With the right execution of the Noumenon Blast, Omega Esports was able to lock crucial players from Blacklist International and execute them easily.

The match eventually concluded with Omega Esports securing a 2-1 reverse sweep victory against Blacklist International.

Coach P4kbet shares how Omega Esports recovered from its losing streak

Through a post-match press conference, the team’s head coach P4kbet shared why the team had a shaky performance in the past few matches.

“I think we lost because our composure is still not formed in our games. Some are still making mistakes so I said ‘It’s ok, let’s do better’,” said the coach.

He added that this isn’t new to Omega Esports as the team is known for doing poorly in the early stages of the game only to show dominance in the later stages.

“Let’s just do our best in every game, if we make mistake, move on immediately and regroup for the next game,” said coach P4kbet.

The coach further explained that points don’t matter match for them as he is confident that Omega Esports can keep still keep up despite having slow progress in the first half of the season.

Omega Esports is set to go against ECHO on 17th September at 5:00 PM (PHT). Blacklist International is looking to bounce back stronger against Bren Esports on the same day at 7:30 PM (PHT).
