Nexplay EVOS Unveils MPL PH Season 9 Roster

Nexplay EVOS revealed its revamped team roster for the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
The team had already released Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera from its lineup, while Sanford "SanFord" Vinuya and James "Jeymz" Gloria would not be playing this MPL season.
To fill in the remaining slots, the team signed five rookies who are former AP Esports pro players along with Jeff Lenjesson "S4gitnu" Subang.

After months of teasing, Nexplay EVOS finally revealed its revamped team roster for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. The team had already released fan-favorite Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera from its lineup, while announcing that Sanford "SanFord" Vinuya and James "Jeymz" Gloria would not be playing for it, this MPL season. To fill in the remaining slots, the team signed five rookies who are former AP Esports pro players along with Jeff Lenjesson "S4gitnu" Subang who will be returning to the MPL esports scene as part of Nexplay EVOS. John Michael "Zico" Dizon will still lead the team as the head coach.

Nexplay EVOS signs former AP Esports rookies to complete its roster for the MPL PH Season 9

The new lineup of Nexplay EVOS may not have come as a surprise for a few fans. Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio previously revealed new recruits for the team back on 20th Nov 2021 through a vlog. Since then, the team has been teasing players and building hype before its roster reveal.

It was not until 15th Jan 2022 that the full roster was revealed confirming the new Nexplay EVOS lineup.

Debuting in the MPL PH Season 9 are the amateur standouts Michael "MP THE KING" Endino, Kennenth "Cadenza" Castro, Mariusz "Donut" Tan, Emanuel "Elpizo" Candelaria, Renren "Ureshi" Nitsuga.

S4gitnu, who is a former member of Nexplay VIVO will also be returning to the MPL esports scene under Nexplay EVOS. The starting lineup from the previous season- H2wo, Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse, Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon, Jhonwin "Hesa" Dela Merced Vergara will also be playing while Dogie will be playing as the team’s reserve player.

Nexplay EVOS had a solid run in the MPL PH Season 8. The team managed to secure a spot in the playoffs stage where it eventually fell at the hands of the colossal teams ONIC Esports in the upper bracket and Blacklist International in the lower bracket, exiting the tournament with a fourth-place finish.

With a team roster packed with promising rookies and veteran players, Nexplay EVOS will be taking the MPL PH Season 9 with pride and determination as it aims to clutch the championship title.
