Bren Esports Unveils Roster for MPL PH Season 9
M2 World Champions, Bren Esports has officially announced its revamped team roster for the upcoming Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. Six new pro players will debut under the Bren Esports banner alongside four players from the previous season to form a 10-man roster.
Bren Esports had a lackluster performance during the MPL PH Season 8, only scoring five wins and nine losses which locked them out of the playoffs stage. With its disappointing performance during the previous season, the former world champion is looking to redeem itself in the upcoming season.
Six pro players will debut in the MPL PH Season 9 under Bren Esports
Bren Esports is looking to redeem itself in the upcoming MPL season with an updated team roster. The roster reveal was announced on the official social media handles of the esports organization in a post captioned,
“The long wait is over. Our MLBB squad has arrived!”
The team is composed of the following members;
Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel
Allan "Lusty" Castromayor
David "Flaptzy" Canon
Muj “Lord Malik” Malik
Marco “Super Marco” Stephen
Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin
Vincent “Joy Boy” De Guzman
Stowm
Jowm
Pandora
Among the six new additions, Saxsa, Joy Boy, and Super Marco are well known for their performance under the ArkAngel squad while the three rookies Stowm, Jowm, and Pandora are fresh faces looking to prove themselves in the upcoming MPL season under the Bren Esports banner.
The organization previously released one of its core players Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno who is now a member of the ECHO lineup followed by Raven “L3bron” Alonzo and Ejhay "Ejhay" Sambrano.
While still a member of Bren Esports, veteran player Cartilo "Ribo" Jagdon has also announced that he will go on a brief hiatus and will miss out on the MPL PH Season 9. Mico “Coco” Sampang, on the other hand, is benched for this season to give way to the new members.
Bren Esports has won numerous championship titles such as the MPL PH Season 6 and the M2 World Championships. However, the team has been disappointing with poor performances in recent tournaments. It wasn’t able to defend its title in MPL PH Season 7 and had a disappointing performance during MPL PH Season 8 where they finished 7th place in the regular season.
With its updated team roster, it will be interesting to see if Bren Esports will be able to redeem itself in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
