New Wild Rift Champion Thresh Released With Short Cinematic Video and New Look
One of the most iconic champions, Thresh, has been released on League of Legends (LoL): Wild Rift. This support champion is widely known for his versatility and can be built differently depending on what your team needs. Riot Games recently revealed Thresh’s updated default skin in Wild Rift through a short cinematic video, giving him a much more humanoid figure instead of the usual floating mist with a skull head. The new champion is now available in Wild Rift and can be purchased in the in-game store along with its debut skin, Pulsefire Thresh. More information regarding the new support champion in Wild Rift, Thresh, can be found below.
Unbound Thresh has been released in Wild Rift with cinematic video
One of the most-awaited support champions in the game has finally arrived in Wild Rift with a whole new makeover. Unlike its PC counterpart, Thresh’s alternative skin, Unbound Thresh, is now his default skin in Wild Rift. This was revealed through a short cinematic video that answers the question as to why the ghostly apparition has now taken a humanoid form.
In the video, it is explained that due to the events in the Sentinels of Light story, Thresh is no longer bound to the Shadow Isles and can now freely roam the lands of Runeterra. He now runs rampant in Noxus, devouring souls as he pleases. Along with his freedom, he can take on a humanoid form which is now the default skin of Thresh in Wild Rift, and an alternate skin in LoL PC called Unbound Thresh.
Despite the amazing cinematic and storytelling, the new Thresh design received mixed reactions from the community. Some fans enjoyed the fresh new look of the support champion while others want the old character model back, claiming this is not the Thresh they wanted.
Despite his new look, the champion’s animations and visual effects barely have any changes.
How to get Thresh in Wild Rift?
The new support champion can be purchased in the in-game shop for 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores. His debut skin, Pulsefire Thresh can also be purchased for 990 Wild Cores.
It will be interesting to see if Thresh will be able to shake up the meta, especially in the Wild Rift esports scene.
