After finishing fifth place in the League of Legends: Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Europe (EU), NAVI made changes to its roster in preparation for the next season. The new team includes two former Game-Lord members, the underdog team from EU that dominated the Team Liquid Summer Showdown: Europe and finished as the runner-ups of the Wild Rift Origin Series: July Group A Finals. With its new roster, NAVI hopes to redeem itself in the Wild Rift esports scene next year. This year, the team is trying to make a mark in the EU region by aiming for a championship title in the Wild Rift Top Series Season 3.

One of the prominent esports organizations in the EU region, NAVI or widely known as Natus Vincere (latin word for “born to win”), announced its acquisition of the former team members of the underdog team Game-Lord. The team is widely known for its plethora of achievements in the Wild Rift esports scene in the EU region. One of the biggest achievements that Game-Lord acquired was finishing 3rd-4th place in the Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 EU.

The new team roster of NAVI is composed of the following members;

  • Hoang "Phi" Thi (Baron Lane)

  • Nedelcu "Vex" Cezar (Jungle Lane)

  • Wahil "YeQiu" Hassani (Mid Lane)

  • Kirill "Hydro" Sitnikov (Dragon Lane)

  • Frederik "Schow" Morthorst (Support Lane)

  • Alexander "Glory" Manoil (Team Manager)

  • Vladimir "Ospreay" Gonchar (coach)

Back on 12th Oct 2021, Tilek ”TheDon” Toktonilov left NAVI. Rustam "Valhalla" Boluro and Aleksei "Dante" Sorokin soon followed and left the team on 29th October, allowing former Game-Lord Members YeQiu and Schow alongside top Challenger tier player Phi to fill the missing roles of the team.

Phi is one of the top Wild Rift players in the EU region. For three seasons, he kept his rank consistent and stayed in the Challenger tier. He is also a former pro player of the two EU teams, BK ROG Esports and Team Singularity.

Sine’s its first championship title back in the Wild Rift Battle for the Rift - Europe, NAVI has shown subpar performance in other esports events. The team only finished 5th place in the Wild Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Europe, failing to book a ticket to the major Wild Rift esports event, the Horizon Cup 2021.
