MSC 2023 and 32nd SEA Games MLBB Event Confirmed to Be Held in Cambodia
The stage is set for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023. The upcoming event shall be held in Cambodia where 12 of the best teams from across Southeast Asia (SEA), MENA (Middle East and North Africa), North America (NA), and Turkey shall compete for this year’s championship title. Moonton previously announced that the MSC 2023 shall also feature non-SEA teams to spice up the competition. The tournament is scheduled to be held on 10th June with qualifier events from participating regions currently ongoing to determine their representative teams.
Aside from the MSC 2023, the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asia (SEA) Games MLBB event shall also be held in Cambodia.
Cambodia set to host MSC 2023 and 32nd SEA Games venue
In order to jointly promote the development of the local esports business and improve the competitive gaming scene of the nation, international game developer and publisher MOONTON Games and the Esports Federation Cambodia (EFC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The signing, which took place at the Preah Vihear Hall for the Ministry of Information, aimed to lay the groundwork for a successful long-term partnership between MOONTON Games and the EFC in hosting MLBB esports competitions in the nation, including the medal event at the 32nd SEA Games in 10th May and the MSC 2023, which will begin on 10th June 2023.
The agreement was penned by His Excellency (H. E.) Chea Chanboribo, President of the EFC and Head of MOONTON Games' Esports Ecosystem, and Ray Ng.
"The success of MPL Cambodia has helped to strengthen the development of the esports ecosystem in Cambodia, and we are looking to take it one step further by bringing MSC 2023 to create more opportunities for local talents here," stated Ray. "We are excited to showcase the potential of Cambodian players to a global arena and to bring in global players to #SEATheWorld."
