Blacklist International’s ability to adapt to the ever-changing meta in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has been one of the biggest topics in the MLBB community. Some fans believed that this was all thanks to the dynamic duo of Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" James Del Rosario, widely known as the V33Wise duo. One of the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Indonesia (ID) casters, Handy “Mirko” Loho shared his thoughts regarding the topic, expressing how Wise has been a “trendsetter” in the esports scene. The star Jungler would often introduce unorthodox strategies which would, later on, become viable for the meta.

Mirko amazed by how the V33Wise duo could swiftly adapt to every meta in MLBB

Through a livestream, Mirko explained why he thinks the meta wasn’t necessarily made for the V33Wise duo. Rather, he thinks the dynamic duo was able to adapt faster than most pro players and teams.

“Every meta looks to be made for them because they [V33Wise] just adapted really quick,” stated Mirko.

He added that the dynamic duo has adapted to every meta shift in MLBB and even managed to play non-assassin heroes back when matches were all about who plays Assassin heroes better.

“I don’t think it [the meta] was made for them, I think they adapted. That just shows how good they are again,” stated the MPL ID caster.

Shifting his focus to Blacklist International’s star Jungler, Wise, he considers the pro player to be a pioneer when it comes to unorthodox hero picks which eventually become a part of the meta.

“[Wise] is a trendsetter, man. He was the one who started this “Demon Slayer” [emblem] thing. He did this before it was cool,” explained Mirko.

Mirko was not the only one who acknowledged Wise’s impressive playstyle. BloodThirstyKings’ team captain Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun also believes that Blacklist International’s iconic pro player built the foundation for the current meta which involves tank Junglers.

Blacklist International stands as the strongest MLBB team in the world. The team has won a plethora of championship titles as well as a Gold medal from the recently concluded 31st SEA Games. It shall be most interesting to see how far the Philippines’ MLBB powerhouse squad goes given its impressive track record.
