MobaZane Believes Wise's Playstyle Laid the Foundation for the Current Jungle Meta

MobaZane believes that Wise' playstyle laid the foundation for the current meta in MLBB.
According to MobaZane, due to the shift in meta, everyone is following the same playstyle as Wise.
He also added that players will have to adjust to the meta if they want to win their matches.

BloodThirstyKings’ team captain Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun believes that Blacklist International’s star Jungler Danerie "Wise" James Del Rosario laid the foundation for the current meta. According to MobaZane, players have started playing a more objective-focused playstyle rather than the usual team fight-oriented gameplay. This playstyle was made popular by Wise when Blacklist International dominated the M3 World Championship. With the new Jungle Emblem meta, Wise’s playstyle serves as a big factor in how Junglers play their role. MobaZane also added that there is no other way to beat the meta at the moment and players will have to adjust if they want to win their matches.

Wise may have influenced the current meta

Wise’s playstyle was one of the most popular and most discussed playstyles in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) community. Before it became popular, Junglers were often more focused on securing skirmishes and ganks than objective security and gold farming.

With the massive shift in meta, Junglers are now required to focus more on objectives to maximize the Jungle Emblem’s capabilities. According to MobaZane “If you’re not adapting to the meta, you just lost already.”

The BTK captain compared the current Jungle meta to Wise’s playstyle. “I always knew he [Wise] had like a pretty good idea of how to play Jungle, I always knew it,” he stated.

MobaZane added that he saw Wise’s dominant playstyle firsthand during the M3 World Championship. Now, everyone is following the same playstyle as Wise. “I guess it was stronger than I thought.”, said MobaZane.

He added that right now, the meta is so effective that there is no way to counter it aside from just following the meta. “I’m sorry, but there’s no other way to go about it. That’s tank jungle, or Ling or Fanny.”

MobaZane admitted that he learned a valuable lesson while playing in the MLBB Philippines (PH) server. He stated “Sometimes, you just have to adapt to the meta… You just have to accept it, adapt.”

The meta has certainly shaped how both casual and pro players play MLBB. Even the super team ECHO fell hard when the meta suddenly shifted as they refused to adjust. Despite being dominant in the regular season of the MPL PH Season 9, ECHO had an early exit in the playoffs. According to its star jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Gabriel Nepomuceno the Jungle Emblem meta was not the team’s identity. It will be interesting to see how the meta evolves in future updates.
