The Turtle is one of the major objectives in MLBB that provides gold and experience points (EXP) as well as a shield that blocks damage for the team who slays it.

BloodThirstyKings’ team captain Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun believes that taking the Turtle Objective in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has no value and is not worth taking. While watching the playoffs match between ONIC PH and Nexplay EVOS in the Mobile legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9, the BTK captain expressed his hatred towards the Turtle Objective in MLBB as it is never worth the risk. According to him, the gold gain from the Turtle is not enough to make the fight worthwhile and would just make things more difficult if a team lost a fight just to secure the Turtle.

MobaZane hates Turtles in MLBB

Through a live reaction video regarding the playoffs match between ONIC PH and Nexplay EVOS, MobaZane shared his thoughts on whether or not sacrificing a teammate just to take a Turtle Objective was worth it.

The match showed Nexplay EVOS securing the first Turtle of the game at the cost of losing Lancelot. Despite successfully taking the Turtle, Nexplay EVOS still went 1k gold behind their opponents at the 4-minute mark.

“Should the Lance[lot] really be dying in the early game just to get 60 gold for his team?,” stated MobaZane. “NXPE [Nexplay EVOS] gets that and are still 1k [gold] behind.”

The BTK captain added that it could have been worse for Nexplay EVOS if the Turtle was stolen from them and also lost a teamfight amidst the chaos. This is why he thinks the Turtle lacks value to make it worth the risk.

“I said it like days ago, man, weeks ago. Turtle Blows! Everyone hated me for it,” MobaZane stated. “It really doesn’t do [anything], the Turtle.”

He complained about why players would want to die just to secure a Turtle when 60 gold can easily be acquired through taking down lane minions.

“Everyone wants to die for it like the Lord, 60 gold Lord. Get a few Jungle camps, literally made up the gold of Turtle,” explained MobaZane.

What value does a Turtle have in MLBB

The Turtle is one of the major objectives in the game that spawns after two minutes when the match starts. Upon killing the Turtle, the team gains gold and experience points (EXP) as well as a shield that blocks damage. For the one who slays the Turtle, the shield gained will have a bonus effect that increases their attack damage while allies receive a normal shield.

The EXP gained from the Turtle can be a game changer for teams who are looking to level up faster than their opponents. However, there are instances where it is best not to risk losing your squad just to secure a Turtle kill, especially if your team is already in a very disadvantageous position.
