MPL Cambodia Season 1: Teams, Tournament Schedule, Prize Pool, Where to Watch

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Cambodia (KH) Season 1 regular season is scheduled to start on 28th Aug 2021. The top four teams from the qualifiers will join the four invited teams in the regular season. The eight teams from the regular season will compete for the prize pool of $40,000 USD and the honor of representing Cambodia in the upcoming M3 World Championships this December 2021. The MPL KH will have two seasons per year with the first season kicking off in August and will run until October 2021. MPL Cambodia Season 1 details

The qualifiers for the MPL KH Season 1 are still ongoing and will last until 15th Aug 2021. The top four teams from the qualifiers will then proceed to compete in the regular season on 28th Aug 2021 alongside four invited teams.

The four invited teams in the MPL KH Season 1 are the following;

• BURNGAMING (BURN)

• Impunity KH (IMP)

• NewBlood (NG)

• SEE YOU SOON (SYS)

MPL Cambodia Season 1 tournament schedule

There will only be one open qualifier for MPL KH Season 1. After the qualifiers, the regular season officially starts and will last for four weeks where they will compete for a slot in the playoffs stage.

Here are the schedules for each stage of the tournament;

Regular Season

• Week 1: 28th - 29th August

• Week 2: 4th - 5th September

• Week 3: 11th - 12th September

• Week 4: 18th - 19 September

Playoffs

• Day 1: 1st October

• Day 2: 2nd October

• Day 3: 3rd October (Grand Finals)

Prize Pool Distribution for MPL Cambodia Season 1

The MPL KH Season 1 boasts a prize pool of $40,000 USD and will de be distributed to the top 8 teams with the champions receiving the lion’s share. According to Moonton, this is the biggest prize pool in Cambodian esports tournament history. Details regarding the prize pool distribution are yet to be announced.
