It was an unfortunate year for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) as the popular mobile battle royale was banned by the government in July 2022. Initially, the Indian gaming community thought that the game would return in a few months time but unfortunately even after half a year the issue has not been resolved.

Despite the unfavorable circumstances, the hype around associated players, talents, and organizations was at an all time high with Jonathan "JONATHAN" Amaral being the most searched PUBG Mobile / BGMI player globally on Liquipedia in 2022.

The online esports encyclopedia, Liquipedia, recently released a list of the most visited pages for PUBG Mobile / BGMI players in 2022 with JONATHAN claiming the top spot globally.

A think to keep in mind here is that, the website cannot be directly accessed by fans and players from China, as it has been banned by the government. This could have contributed to the fact that most popular Chinese players have not been able to take the top spots on the list.

However, taking the international players out of the equation since they're technically PUBG Mobile players, here is the list of the most searched BGMI players from 2022.

  1. Jonathan "JONATHAN" Amaral

  2. Tanmay "Scout" Singh

  3. Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal

  4. Naman "Mortal" Mathur

  5. Vivek "ClutchGod" Horo

  6. Sahil "Omega" Jakhar

  7. Harmandeep "Mavi" Singh

  8. Akshat "AkshaT" Goel

  9. Sohail "Hector" Shaikh

  10. Suraj Nityanand "Neyoo" Majumdar

  11. Arjun "SHADOW" Mandhalkar

The three big superstars of the Indian mobile gaming community, Scout, Mortal, and JONATHAN were all present in this list. Apart from them, majority of the players on this list are from either Team SouL or GodLike Esports.

Scout and Mavi are the only two players that are not from the two esports organizations mentioned above, both are currently a part of Team XSpark while also working as content creators for 8Bit Creatives.

The BGMI lineup of Team SouL is also present with the inclusion of Goblin, Omega, AkshaT, and Hector, along with the roster of GodLike Esports with players like JONATHAN, ClutchGod, Neyoo, and SHADOW.
