The big announcement was revealed through the official social media handles of Mobile Legends, stating that the M3 World Championship will be held sometime at the end of 2021. The top-tier teams from each MPL region alongside the best teams from non-MPL regional qualifiers will compete for the title of World Champions. Moonton also confirmed that the upcoming M3 World Championship will be held offline, similar to the previous iterations of the Mobile Legends international tournament.

M3 World Championship Revealed

The most-awaited international tournament for Mobile Legends has been revealed by Moonton in their official social media handles on 8th Aug 2021. The M3 World Championship is set to kick off sometime in December 2021.

The upcoming world championship is expected to be much bigger than the previous tournaments given how the Mobile Legends esports scene has widened its reach across the globe with the official launch of MPL events in Brazil and Cambodia.

The M3 World Championship will be held offline and will feature the top-tier teams from all of the MPL Regions. For regions which do not have MPL leagues, teams who qualify through the regional qualifiers will also be competing at this event. More details regarding the venue, prize pool, and tournament schedule of the M3 World Championship are yet to be announced.

"There’s a lot more Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports action coming into the second half of 2021. With the MPL series gearing up for the Regular Season, preparations are well underway for our flagship international tournament. M3 will be held offline in December, bringing together the best MLBB teams worldwide to compete for the top title," stated Moonton, as quoted by Yahoo! News.

M3 will be the third major Mobile Legends event for the year 2021. The first one is the M2 World Championship followed by the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021. Both tournaments received massive support from fans. The M2 World Championship was held in Singapore where it garnered a peak viewership of 3 million concurrent viewers, making it one of the most-watched esports events of all time.

It will be interesting to see if the upcoming M3 World Championship will be able to match the viewership metrics or perhaps exceed the previous iterations of the tournament.
