MobaZane and Basic: The Most Hated Players in MLBB Esports?

BloodThirstyKings (BTK)’ team captain Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun believes that his former teammate Peter "Basic" Lozano is one of the most hated players in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene. Both MobaZane and Basic previously played under the North American MLBB team The Valley where they competed in the M4 World Championship and finished a respectable 5th place but then had a falling out and went their separate ways. MobaZane has since rebuilt his team with new members, while Basic joined a different team.

MobaZane comments on being one of the most hated players in MLBB esports

Moonton recently made a short documentary on how MobaZane rose to fame in the MLBB esports scene. The documentary featured his life, the struggles, as well as how many fans and haters the star jungler has faced in the past years. 

Through a livestream, MobaZane answered one of the questions from his viewers on being one of the most hated MLBB player. “I probably am, dude,” the BTK captain said. “If that was not my idea for the documentary, that was Moonton’s idea. They already knew how many geeks write hate comments on my stream dude.”

He was referring to the comments made during The Valley's M4 World Championship run. MobaZane made claims prior to the tournament that his team would breeze through the group stage. That was not the case, as the team struggled to find momentum and only secured a lower bracket playoffs spot with a 1-2 score.

The team's lackluster performance in the first phase of the tournament resulted in MobaZane receiving hate comments which were seen in the documentary posted by Moonton.

While he thinks he has a lot of haters, MobaZane thinks his former teammate Basic might have more haters than him. “Basic might actually be one of the most hated because at least I got fans, and he [Basic] doesn’t have any fans,” he said.

Basic recently left The Valley to join a new team named Ohio Brothers for the North America Challenger Tournaments (NACT) Spring 2023. The tournament serves as a qualifier event with the winner earning a ticket to the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023.

The former The Valley Gold Laner has a history of controversies, including allegedly having an affair with the girlfriend of MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines star player Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcase. 

Basic was caught in another controversy after sharing a series of screenshots of Yawi allegedly flirting with another girl while still in a romantic relationship.
