The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) 2024 Project NEXT Update has been teased featuring a few tweaks to existing equipment as well as introducing new and powerful ones in the future. One possible addition is an equipment that can instantly kill an enemy at low HP. Other key information included in the MLBB 2024 Project NEXT update are enhancements to early game ganking, Thunder Belt adjustments, active equipment that increases basic attack range, and more.

Players should keep in mind that the changes presented are still under development and may undergo further changes and testing before being released on the regular server of MLBB.

MLBB 2024 Project NEXT Update  details

According to the equipment skills discussion under the Layla’s Workshop section of the game, a few ideas were shared that might shift the meta in the future.

Here is a quick look at the possible changes and additions that may be added by the MLBB 2024 Project NEXT update;

Thunder Belt adjustments

According to the developers, player feedback regarding the Thunder Belt equipment has been considered and changes may be added in the future.

These concerns were regarding the slow effect of the equipment being too powerful, currently being abused by Marksman heroes to consistently apply slow effects on their targets.

Equipment with Burst Damage can instantly kill an enemy

The developers want to implement a high-risk, high-reward playstyle for Assassins in the early-game.

The idea for this item is that a target enemy is instantly killed when they have an X-percentage or less HP left. Each hero killed adds 10 stacks that increase the threshold of the effect by 0.1% up to a limit. Upon death, 8 stacks are lost.

Assassins that are good at one-shotting enemies like Karina, Lancelot, and Alucard can easily maximize this equipment. However, the stakes are higher as the instant kill effects get harder to activate if they die.

Active Equipment that increases Basic Attack range

For the Marksmen heroes, an item idea was also shared that can increase the Basic Attack range. This active effect only lasts for a few seconds but the duration is reset when hitting enemy heroes with Basic Attacks. However, this effect only works on Marksman heroes.

If this item gets added in the game, heroes such as Layla and Leslie will be more dangerous as their attack range gets enhanced further, preventing enemies from easily diving to execute them.

Equipment that enhances Magic Damage

As for the Mages, a new item idea has been introduced that allows them to deal damage based on the Max HP of the target. This may work best when fighting Tank heroes who usually have a very high HP value.

If this item ever gets added in the game, it may be a situational item as it may not work too well when there are no Tank heroes on the enemy team.

Combining Bloodlust Axe and Queen’s Wings into one equipment

One of the interesting ideas shared was to combine the effects of Bloodlust Axe and Queen’s Wings into one single equipment for Fighter heroes. This adds one more extra slot for other equipment to be purchased, opening a lot of possibilities in the game.

This new item reduces the cooldown of all skills and provides a shield if the hero is at low HP.

The effects of Bloodlust Axe and Queen’s Wings may be merged into one equipment.

Clock of Destiny revamp

One of the recently overlooked items in MLBB may be receiving a revamp soon. Due to the fast-paced nature of the game, the Clock of Destiny barely gets the recognition it deserves as it takes time to stack up its effects to the maximum.

The revamp hopes to add more viability to this item by shortening the time it takes to gain stacks but it now increases Physical and Magic Defense with each stack. The effects wear off after a few seconds but can be gained by hitting enemies with Magic Damage.

The changes presented in the MLBB 2024 Project NEXT Update sneak peek are yet to be finalized. However, the developers stated that they still have a lot of plans to optimize the game. Players will have to keep their eyes peeled in the future as these changes may soon be added to the Mobile Legends advanced server.

For now, players can look forward to the highly anticipated release of the MLBB ALLSTAR 2024 event featuring the SPARKLE skin series as well as sub-events that rewards players with free skins, Promo Diamonds, and many more.
