One of Team Underground’s pro players, Adrielle “Mitsura” Gavin recently left the team amidst the ongoing League of Legends: Wild Rift Champions Southeast Asia (WCS SEA) 2022 - Philippines (PH). According to the team’s manager ShinBoo “Sh1n Boo” Ponferrada, the reason for the pro player’s departure was due to team chemistry issues. This decision was taken unanimously by the team. The team manager also clarified that this issue had already been raised before the team roster was acquired. Following Mitsura’s departure from Team Underground, a new player will fill in the role as the team will continue to compete in the WCS SEA 2022 - Philippines.

Sh1n Boo explains Mitsura’s departure from Team Underground squad

Mitsura’s departure was a surprise to the fans as Team Underground is putting forth a stellar performance in the ongoing WCS SEA 2022 - PH. The team is currently at the top of the group stage leaderboards with 11 wins and three losses.

It was not until recently that the team manager, Sh1n Boo, through a Facebook post explained why Mitsura decided to leave the team. Additionally, Midarina and Xyliath will be filling the Mid Laner role.

“With this, the UDG (Team Underground) roster will be signing in Midarina and Xyliath. As always, let us continue supporting Mitsura, UDG, and of course your favorite teams in Wild Rift PH,” Sh1n Boo captioned.

Orthros comments on Mitsura’s departure from Team Underground

Through a post-match interview in the WCS SEA 2022 - PH back on 25th March, the team’s support specialist, Beaver-Ed "UDG Orthros" Villanueva, emotionally expressed that Mitsura’s departure is a stressful moment for the team.

“This week has been a bit stressful for us. The events that happened are not easy for us,” Orthros said.

Despite this, he hopes that fans will continue to support Team Underground and Mitsura and respect their decisions.

“I hope the fans would continue to support us because it’s really hard, we’re going through tough times right now. Thank you to all who kept on supporting us because even the slightest hint of toxicity can affect our mental health. I hope you support us with our decision,” Orthros said.

Despite the sudden roster revamp, Team Underground continues to dominate the ongoing WCS SEA 2022 - PH. The team aims to secure a playoffs spot in the upcoming WCS Championship 2022.
