Mirko Believes BTK Would Not Have Defeated Blacklist Sibol With V33Wise
The showmatch between the North American (NA) team BloodThirstyKings (BTK) and the 31st Southeast Asia (SEA) Games Gold Medalists - Sibol became a popular topic in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) community. Fans and pro players even lauded the amateur pro player Kier “Ichiji” Sambajon for his performance under BTK during the showmatch. One of the popular Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Indonesia (ID) casters Handy "Mirko" Loho shared his thoughts on the exhibition match between the two powerhouse teams. According to him, BTK would not have won the match if Blacklist International's dynamic duo of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" del Rosario participated in the showmatch.
Sibol could potentially sweep BTK if V33Wise was present, says Mirko
Through a recent livestream, Mirko brought up the topic regarding the showmatch that was hosted during the Realme Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Cup (RMC) Season 6 finals back on 5th June. He stated that while it was an interesting match, it can’t necessarily be used as a basis to gauge which team is stronger.
“It’s a fun match, we won’t really know if they were actually trying hard. It’s still very impressive that BTK won against Sibol but I don’t think it’s actually a display of team strength,” he said.
However, Mirko believes that had the two pillars of Blacklist International participated in the showmatch, Sibol could have easily swept BTK. “I think Sibol would've got a 3-0, to be honest, if V33Wise was there,” the MPL caster stated.
Mirko also talked about BTK’s main EXP Laner Victor who was absent during the showmatch. The caster still believes that Victor is quite formidable. However, the shift in meta has affected his playstyle, making it less viable. “Dude, Victor was so good back in M3 [World Championship]. I guess the meta doesn’t suit him,” he explained.
The showmatch between the North American and Philippines powerhouse teams proved how much BTK has improved since its grand debut back at the M3 World Championship. It will be interesting to see if the NA squad gets another chance to take on Blacklist International with the V33Wise duo in the main roster.
