Minana EVOS Secures MPL PH Season 13 Playoffs Slot, Dedicates Series Win to LanceCy
After seasons of struggle, Minana EVOS finally punched its Playoffs ticket in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 13 after a clean sweep victory against ONIC PH.
The renowned White Tigers scored 17 points after their encounter with the Yellow Hedgehogs, claiming third place on the regular season leaderboard. This is Minana EVOS’ first-ever playoff appearance since MPL PH Season 9.
Through a post-match interview, the team revealed how this game is dedicated to their Mid Laner Lance "LanceCy" Cunanan who recently lost a family member and had to skip the series against ONIC PH.

With the recent news about LanceCy’s absence weighing heavily on their hearts, Minana EVOS rallied together, channeling their grief into determination. According to the team’s Jungler Ken "Kzen" Pile, this series against ONIC PH was more than just a fight for playoffs contention.
“About LanceCy, we wouldn’t be here without him. So this game, our mindset, we dedicated it to him. We did our so this may hopefully help LanceCy cheer up. This game is really for him,” the star Jungler expressed.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, LanceCy had to skip Minana EVOS’ Week 6 series against ONIC PH. The team signed veteran player Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-Anon to fill in the Mid Lane role and Brain "SpiderMilez" Santos was swapped by John "Perkz" Sumawan as the roamer.
In a dominant display, Minana EVOS surged ahead in the opener, with Kzen's Fredrinn leading the charge and igniting a game-winning 5-0 wipeout.
Despite Minana EVOS' early lead in Game 2, ONIC PH was able to make diversion plays with its iconic Luo Yi pick from Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez, preventing the White Tigers from taking full control of the map.
However, Jan “Domeng” Delmundo evened the odds with his Harith pick, securing a crucial double kill in the lord pit at the 17-minute mark, that proved instrumental, as Minana EVOS orchestrated a successful base turret siege following the Lord Dance.
This lineup paid dividends as the team earned a convincing victory against the near-unstoppable ONIC PH, sweeping it and claiming 3rd place on the regular season leaderboard.
Minana EVOS is looking to keep its momentum going as it is scheduled to face ECHO this Saturday 27th April at 6:30 PM (PHT).
