Dubbed as the Indus Tech Fest 01, players can now check out Made-in-India battle royale Indus on their own devices very soon. Pune-based company SuperGaming announced the beta on its social media platforms and if you are interested in checking the game out, here's what you need to do.
How to Access Indus Battle Royale's Closed Beta
To join the beta you need to fill a form at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfXxwni0q7efmKJPYeJZYUyLvZx8yqX2RupLZ3tq3XPr2vnFw/viewform
The form will ask you for some basic details like your Name, Google/Apple ID and Discord ID. It also has a link to the official Discord server for Indus, and you can join the server using the link to be a part of the closed beta.
About Indus
Indus was conceptualized in 2020 and a team was put together with talent across India joining the team. The team has grown and it features around 150 people. An internally playable version of the game was available on 25th November 2021. The game will be free-to-play and the team is yet to decide on how it will be monetized. It is likely that the game will include purchasable cosmetics and/or a battle pass.
“Indus is at a stage where within the development team, we are able to play it in-house regularly" according to SuperGaming co-founder and CEO Roby John.
He added “While there’s still some work to be done before we can bring Indus to all of you, this trailer shows what we’re crafting to match your expectations and our ambition of putting India on the global gaming map.”
The first trailer for the "indo-futuristic" battle royale Indus made its debut on India's Independence Day (15th August) back in 2022 and the game is inching closer to the official launch.
The game will be playable in a first-person perspective (FPP) but a third-person perspective is also being planned for the future. When it comes to the lore of the game, the world of Indus is a mystery featuring floating islands. Indus was home to a race called the Yaksha, which invented jet engines and nuclear power.
The Yaksha used Cosmium to tap into the extra-dimensional energy to fulfill their needs and it became the first interstellar civilization. But the entire race was wiped out from the pages of history. This is when the game takes place as players uncover the secrets of the lost civilization.
