The official theme song for the M5 World Championship titled “Better Than Great” has been officially unveiled. The music video (MV) featured some of the iconic pro players in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene. While a lot of fans were hyped for the release of the official music video of the M5 theme song, some fans criticized the video in some aspects. Some expressed their disappointment with the production quality, comparing it to the previous M4 theme song. Some fans also cited that the previous M-World champions who are also competing in the upcoming tournament received less exposure in the video.

The official theme song for the upcoming M5 World Championship has been unveiled. The video features iconic players such as ONIC ID’s Nicky "Kiboy" Pontonuwu and Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol as well as ECHO’s star jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno.

Shortly after the MV debuted, Fans quickly flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts. While some fans were hyped for the song, some were not happy, specifically with the players who were featured in the M5 Theme Song video.

A lot of fans noticed that the former BloodThirstyKings captain Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun was present in the video despite his team not qualifying for the upcoming M5 World Championship and even gets a decent amount of screen time compared to other players featured in the video.

Fans believe that more players or teams that are competing in the upcoming tournament should be featured. This led to some calling out Moonton for being “biased” and are being selective of who gets featured in the video.

The M5 World Championship Group Stage is set to commence on 2nd December 2023. The tournament will feature 14 qualified teams and two more teams from the M5 Wild Card stage competing for the title of world champion and the lion’s share of the $900,000 USD prize pool. 

With the defending champion ECHO failing to qualify for the international event, it will be interesting to see if a new champion will rise to the top or will the previous champions, AP.Bren and Blacklist International, reclaim the trophy.
