ONIC Esports' Filipino import Kairi believes that Blacklist International is strong as a team and not only because of the V33Wise duo.
Kairi thinks that Blacklist International's team chemistry is well polished but can perform badly if one of more of its key members is missing.
Coach Yeb and Kairi want to get revenge on Blacklist International in the upcoming M4 World Championship.

There is no doubt that Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" Rosario, also known as V33Wise, of Blacklist International had a significant impact on the team's performance in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports (MLBB) scene. While many fans believe that the duo has carried the team, Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol, ONIC Esports' Filipino import, believes otherwise. The pro player believes Blacklist International's dominance stems from its well-honed but fragile team chemistry. This is why the team struggled to defend its championship title during the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9 when the V33Wise duo decided to take a short break.

Kairi thinks Blacklist International as a team is strong and not only because of V33Wise

Through a YouTube video titled Empetalk by Jonathan Liandi, ONIC Esports coach Paul "Yeb" Miranda, and player Kairi were interviewed on how they are preparing for the upcoming M4 World Championship.

During the interview, the coach explained that the upcoming M4 World Championship is more than just a tournament and the team is aiming to dominate.

“This M4 is a little bit meaningful to me because I want revenge from Blacklist International,” said Coach Yeb.

Back in the M3 World Championship, ONIC PH, of which both Yeb and Kairi were members of, lost against Blacklist International with a 0-4 score. With the two MLBB talents now under the Indonesian squad of ONIC Esports, the team aims to make history in the upcoming world series event.

When asked who they think would be the best team in M4, Kairi admited that Blacklist International is still the dominant team, but not because of the V33Wise duo’s presence.

“I think [the strongest in M4] is still Blacklist,” said Kairi. “Not V33Wise, but because it’s Blacklist.”

The interviewer, Jonathan, questioned Kairi’s statement by recalling the MPL PH Season 9 where Blacklist International delivered a lackluster performance and finished in 8th place in the regular season. That season was also the time when the V33Wise duo took a break from playing competitively.

Kairi responded that the M3 World Champions have a very specific team chemistry which is why losing a member would lower its performance significantly.

“They work as five. Example for like, if one of them is missing… they would also have a problem. Their teamwork makes them strong,” explained Kairi.

Coach Yeb also lauded OhMyV33NUS’ exceptional performance as the team's captain and shotcaller.

“V33nus, really smart,” said the coach. “His game sense, the right shotcall and the right timing.”

Kairi and coach Yeb will once again face Blacklist International on the international stage at the upcoming M4 World Championship. It will be interesting to see if ONIC Esports can defeat the defending champions this time.
