Jonathan is a wildcard entry along with GODCRUZ, Free Fire player from Thailand, under this category.
The winners of all categories will be declared on 13th December at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas.

One of the top mobile esports athletes from India, Jonathan "JONATHAN" Amaral, has been nominated under the category of 'Esports Mobile Player Of The Year' by Esports Awards 2022.

The 20-year-old was initially not nominated under this category but was later added to the list as a wildcard alongside Piyapon “GODCRUZ” Boonchuay, who is a professional Free Fire player from Thailand.

This is the first time Jonathan has been nominated under any category by Esports Awards. His peer and one of the leading ambassadors of gaming in India, Naman "Mortal" Mathur, has also been nominated under the category of 'Esports Personality of the Year'.

One of the most prolific players when it comes to mobile battle royales like PUBG Mobile and BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), Jonathan, is regarded as one of the best players in the country and he has proved his worth multiple times throughout his career.

Despite BGMI being banned by the Indian Government, it has been a solid year for Jonathan individually as he continues to compete under the banner of GodLike Esports, one of the top organizations from the country.

His biggest achievement this year was to finish as the runners-up of the first-ever televised BGMI event, BGMI Masters Series, where he was recognized as the MVP of the tournament.

Jonathan and Cruz were the wildcards added to the list of nominees under the category of 'Esports Mobile Player Of The Year', taking the list from seven to nine athletes.

  1. Ceng "Order" Zehai - PUBG Mobile

  2. Luan "Lost" Souza - Free Fire
