Despite being on the brink of elimination, Omega Esports remains positive that it can turn things around before the end of the MPL PH Season 13 regular season.

Omega Esports almost had its shining moment against ECHO in the fifth week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 13. However, when the team was close to getting a potential comeback victory against the Purple Orcas in the second game, the squad made a crucial mistake which threw their lead, closing the series with a 2-0 score in favor of ECHO.

Through a media interview, the team shared the reason why the team failed to close one of the most crucial matches they had in the MPL PH Season 13.

Omega Esports shared how the team lost their Game 2 lead against ECHO

One of the bottom teams in the MPL PH Season 13, Omega Esports, showcased a surprising improvement after weeks of losses. Although their series against ECHO ultimately resulted in defeat, Omega Esports captivated fans with glimpses of a potential comeback in game two with a Chip debut.

According to Omega Esports Jungler Andrew "Andoryuuu" Flora, the team miscalculated their final team fight which cost them the game.

“The shot call was we’re supposed to have a clash in their [ECHO] base but we couldn’t find a good timing,” he said.

The team’s coach Ronel “Stronger” Tan further elaborated on how the team already had the game in their hands but failed to make the right call at the right moment.

“On an outside perspective, they didn’t have to rush because we already had the map under control but we [made the wrong call], so that’s what we’ll need to improve”, he expressed.

Omega Esports is in a losing slump with eight losses and only one win. While at risk of being eliminated from the playoffs contention, the team remains positive and is looking to work on their problems and turn the tide in their favor for the remaining matches.

As the season nears its conclusion, Omega Esports is scheduled to face ONIC PH this Saturday, 20th April at 6:40 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the team will be able to make a comeback after its close encounter with ECHO.
