Hector's Instagram story sparks speculation of a switch back to BGMI after a successful stint in New State Mobile.
The player was in the process of making a New State Mobile team with Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, Harshit “MJ” Mahajan, and Deepak “SENSEI” Negi.
Despite expressing confidence in the future of New State Mobile, Hector's Instagram story indicating switch back to BGMI comes as a surprise given the latter's uncertain status.

After a short and successful stint of two months in New State Mobile, Team SouLs’ professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh has posted an Instagram story indicating that he is switching back to BGMI.  Hector joined TeamSpark as the in-game leader for Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India and was in the process of making a new team with the likes of Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, Harshit “MJ” Mahajan, and Deepak “SENSEI” Negi.

However, there is no official confirmation of the same from Team SouL.

Hector’s Instagram Story Sparks Speculation of a switch to BGMI

On 16th December, the owner of TeamXSpark, Tanmay “Scout” Singh, announced that Hector would be playing with TeamSpark as the in-game leader (IGL) of the game for the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India. This marked Hector’s official entry into the New State Mobile esports scene. In this tournament, the team demonstrated a decent performance but failed to attain a higher position, finishing in the 16th position in the grand finals of the tournament.

After the conclusion of the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India, Hector announced that he was in the process of making a new team with Team SouL’s Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, former Nigma Galaxy professional player Harshit “MJ” Mahajan, and Team XO’s professional player Deepak “SENSEI” Negi. Hector played the Esports Wala ELITE SCRIMS with this newly formed team and emerged as the runner-up of the tournament. Hector’s performances earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of the tournament with a whopping 52 finishes in 25 matches.

Following this, in an Instagram story, Hector hilariously took aim at New State Mobile players after winning the MVP award and announced that he was leaving the game.

Hector's Instagram Story

Prior to this, Hector has shown confidence in the future of New State Mobile on numerous occasions. Earlier this month, Hector also called the game “the future.” Hector's impressive performance in the past few months in New State Mobile made it surprising to see him switch back to BGMI, given the latter’s uncertain status.

Hector’s story indicating a sudden switch back to BGMI without any apparent reason has surprised fans. However, with no signs of the game’s return, it will be a bold decision from Hector if he has indeed officially switched back to BGMI.
